Fencepac Barriers

Transparent acrylic and polycarbonate noise walls for light and views

Fencepac Barriers installs transparent barriers — acrylic or polycarbonate — where the corridor needs light transmission or a view, including acrylic acoustic panels and transparent tops on concrete walls.

Transparent sections where a solid wall would close the corridor in

Transparent barriers in acrylic or polycarbonate are part of the noise wall range Fencepac Barriers manufactures and installs. They are used for light transmission and where a solid concrete face is not the right answer for the whole height.

On Gold Coast Light Rail Stage 2 we supplied and constructed 20,000m² of concrete and acrylic noise barriers — 3,535 concrete panels and 971 acrylic acoustic panels — on an active highway corridor. Coomera North includes relief-pattern concrete panels with transparent acrylic top sections.

Gallery work also shows decorative glass-topped noise barriers above stone pitching, the same idea: a solid base with a transparent upper section where the site needs it.

When transparent noise walls are specified

Full acrylic or polycarbonate lines where a solid face would close the corridor in
Transparent acrylic tops on relief-pattern concrete panels
Mixed concrete and acrylic packages on live highways
Decorative glass-topped barriers above a solid or stone-pitched base
Corridors that need light transmission or a view as well as acoustic performance

Transparent noise wall systems we install

Full transparent lines or transparent tops on concrete — specified to light, view, and acoustic performance.

Acrylic Acoustic Panels

Acrylic acoustic panels as used on Gold Coast Light Rail Stage 2 — 971 acrylic panels in a mixed concrete and acrylic package.

Polycarbonate Transparent Barriers

Polycarbonate transparent barriers where the specification calls for polycarbonate rather than acrylic.

Transparent Tops on Concrete

Relief-pattern concrete panels with transparent acrylic top sections for natural light, as delivered on Coomera North.

Glass-Topped Decorative Barriers

Decorative glass-topped noise barriers above a solid or stone-pitched base where the corridor needs a lighter upper section.

Mixed Concrete and Acrylic Lines

Combined concrete and acrylic packages on live highways — the same mix delivered for CPB on Gold Coast Light Rail Stage 2.

Design for Light and Acoustics

Structural and acoustic design so a transparent section still meets the corridor noise and safety requirements.

Frequently asked questions — Transparent noise walls

Fencepac installs transparent barriers in acrylic or polycarbonate. These can be full transparent panels or transparent tops on concrete walls, depending on the specification.

Yes. Coomera North includes relief-pattern concrete panels with transparent acrylic top sections. We also deliver mixed concrete and acrylic packages, as on Gold Coast Light Rail Stage 2.

Yes. Gold Coast Light Rail Stage 2 included 971 acrylic acoustic panels as part of a 20,000m² concrete and acrylic package on an active highway corridor.

Fencepac Barriers is a TMR Level 2 registered constructor and product supplier. Transparent and mixed systems are designed to the project specification and relevant TMR and AS requirements.
